I am Liam Ransom Shincke, or Ebobe. I travelled to Africa to be trained by Moughenda and the Bwiti tribe. I was struggling with depression. I had lost my brother to opioids. I remained stuck in my life for close to 10 years. Moving from career to career and was never satisfied. In my mind I was battling myself every day. Until I found Iboga. Bwiti is not a religion it is a practice used for thousands of years.

Bwiti is the study of life itself

In the Bwiti tradition they teach that your purpose in life is to just be. What this means is living your life and enjoying every day. Releasing attachment that is not serving you. Living day by day. Being grounded in your senses, living in reality.

Bwiti is an indigenous tribe living in the jungles of Gabon Africa. They have been using Iboga for thousands of years hidden to the rest of the world.

Moughenda a 10th generation Bwiti shaman. Over twenty years ago he says that he received the message to take Iboga's wisdom and healing potential to the western world.  The use of Iboga outside of Africa and the Bwiti tribe is not cultural misappropriation, but receiving of Moughenda's generous gift in sharing the plant medicine and ancient wisdom of his people.  It is with humility and gratitude that I approached these teachings and traditions with the open and curious mind of a student.   I have deep gratitude for Moughenda's generosity as my teacher and mentor, and for the Bwiti people in their willingness to welcome and train western providers of Iboga.
